Waste is considered hazardous when it poses a possible risk to either the environment or health. The following items are considered as hazardous; hazardous waste containers, oils (except food rated ones), e.g. car oil, asbestos, batteries, equipment containing ozone-depleting substances, e.g. fridges and freezers, solvents, non-water-based paints, pesticides and chemicals, e.g. brake fluid or print toner, and medical waste.
You will require a permit if the skip is to be placed on a public pathway or road. To overcome the need for a permit, we offer a useful ‘wait & go’ service which does not require a permit as we will wait with the skip whilst you load it and then take it away when you are done. This then saves you the hassle of having to wait for a permit to be given to you by your local council.
Due to legal reasons there are some items that are not allowed to be disposed of by skips, due to possible risk to human health and damage to the environment. These include; Solvents, Batteries, Liquids, Asbestos, Plasterboard, Tyres, Clinical Waste, all Electrical items and gas bottles.
We are certified waste license carriers, meaning that all the waste we collect from your skip will be disposed of in conjunction with the local council regulations. When we pick up your skip it is in our best interest to recycle as much of the waste as possible and we do not permit fly-tipping of any kind.
Our prices depend on the duration that the skip is required for and the size of the skip needed. For more information on prices contact a member of our team.
